Parks and Trails

Logue Brook Dam
(Lake Brockman Tourist Park)
This has to be one of our favourites; we go here as often as we can and always enjoy the peace and calm. The Dam was built in the 1960s for WA's water supply, it's now used as a campsite with many cool little spots around the reservoir where you can swim and enjoy the stunning views. Located just over an hour's drive from Perth.

Lane Poole Reserve/Nanga Brook Campsite
Just over an hour's drive from Perth. It is one of the largest parks located in the Jarrah Forest and spans 50,000 hectares. It has great campsites to explore, a large river through the middle and plenty of great trails. Our favourite campsite in area the is Nanga Brook.

Ellis Brook Valley Reserve
This area is huge and multiple visits will be required to completely see it all. It has two main trails, Sixty Foot Falls and Blue Wren Trail. Both trails are an awesome workout for the pups. Located in Martin, about half an hours drive. Don't forget to climb to the top to admire the views and waterfall!

Jarrahdale Railway Heritage Trail
An abandoned railway track built in 1872 combined with beautiful lush bushland makes for a great hike with the pups. It's a bit of fun walking along the abandoned tracks expecting a (non-existent) train to come along too. About a thirty minute drive from Perth, the trail entrance is on the corner of Jarrahdale Road and Nettleton Road.

Beeliar Regional Park
This regional park consists of a few wetlands under the umbrella of Beeliar Regional Park. They are located around the Booragoon-North Lake region, which is about half an hour from Perth. This is a great spot to go for regular walks as it is located in the Perth south-metropolitan area

Bells Rapids
A nice walking trail located about 40 minutes north of Perth. This trail is great for a walk along the river with its forceful rapids. This would be a great day trip for you and the pup.
